Abraham
Pastor Aaron Buer launches our new EPIC series by exploring Abraham's extraordinary journey of faith. We discover how God's call to Abraham wasn't just about one man's obedience, but the beginning of his grand rescue plan for all humanity. Through Abraham's story, we see that following God often means stepping into uncertainty while trusting his faithfulness. This message challenges us to recognize how God calls us to be part of his blessing to others, even when we can't see the full destination ahead.
Scandal in the Family Tree
Pastor Aaron Buer continues our "Ancestors of the King" series by examining Matthew's surprising genealogy of Jesus. We explore how Matthew's unexpected inclusion of women, foreigners, and vulnerable people reveals God's heart for all people and his plan of redemption. Through this genealogy, we discover that Jesus is more than just a descendant of Abraham and David—he is the promised Messiah who came to seek and save the lost. We are challenged to reflect God's heart by valuing those society often overlooks and to embrace both his grace and his call to repentance in our own lives.
Son of Abraham
Pastor Aaron Buer begins our Ancestors of the King sermon series by exploring Jesus's genealogy in Matthew 1. We see God's extraordinary promise to Abraham and discover how Abraham's trust set God's plan in motion to bless all nations. We're challenged to consider how we, like Abraham, can trust God's promises and become channels of blessing to others. Through Matthew's genealogy, we see Jesus as the ultimate fulfillment of God's promise, bringing his blessing to all peoples.

Resolve
The new year is a great time for starting new. We start eating better, exercising more, reading our Bible more regularly and other things we let our busy lives get behind on. But starting new requires a few things: (1) we understand we are somewhere for a reason and (2) we will be asked to leave something behind. Join us for a two-week series we’re calling RESOLVE. We’ll learn ways to start well as we explore the stories of Esther, David, Elisha and Abraham. Do more in 2024 with your faith and start it with us at church. Covenant in Marriage
Paul understands marriage as a covenantal relationship: two partners who make binding promises to each other and work together to reach a common goal. The covenants God makes with humans spread across the pages of the Bible, including Adam and Eve, Abraham, Israel, and David. Paul tells the Ephesians that the covenant of marriage is unique. The promises kept between two imperfect people reveal the kind of relationship God desires to have with his people—one involving self-sacrifice, delight, and honor. Marriage also points to the ultimate covenant keeper, Jesus. Through the cross, believers can find hope...

Jumping
The grass that once covered the hills of northern Israel is frayed and dry. Three years have passed since rain nourished the ground. Three years since crops grew and cattle grazed. The people are destitute. They still worship Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, the one who promised to bless Abraham and freed them from slavery in Egypt. Yet, King Ahab leads them to Baal, a god with the reputation for sending rain and blessing crops. So, they jump to worship Baal too. Elijah exposes Israel's wavering. He challenges King Ahab and the Baal worshippers to prove which god is true. In doing so, he challenges Israel to stop jumping back and forth between Yahweh and Baal...

Prepare
God tells Israel to get ready. Joshua and the people wait to cross the Jordan River and enter into the promised land. Israel is bursting with anticipation. There is no turning back this time! The promise God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is about to be fulfilled. Still, something must happen before this climactic event can occur: Israel needs to consecrate itself. To consecrate means to prepare spiritually. The people of Israel must wash themselves and abstain from certain activities. They must focus their hearts and minds on God. Once finished, Israel will be ready for God to move among them.
