Insightful Love
Pastor Jeff Manion continues our Powerful Prayers series by exploring Paul's heartfelt prayer in Philippians 1:9-11, focusing on love that overflows in Christian community. We discover that Paul doesn't just instruct believers on how to behave in relationships—he prays for God to transform their hearts with abounding love guided by knowledge and insight. We learn that loving difficult people well requires divine wisdom to discern what each situation needs, and that our love for others must flow from our deep understanding of Christ's sacrificial love for us. We are challenged to pray for others to grow in love and ask God for discernment in challenging relationships
The Bible and Borders
This week’s message invites us to view immigration and borders through the lens of Scripture, holding together both compassion and conviction. At the center are two realities we carry in tension: every person bears the image of God and has inherent dignity and worth, and at the same time, the reality of sin means evil exists and must be restrained. We are challenged to look to God’s Word, we invite Him to shape our thinking, words, and actions. We’ll consider God’s heart for the vulnerable, his design for government and borders, and the tension between our role and the government’s role, all while remembering our ultimate allegiance to God’s kingdom. We’ll also recognize the opportunity for the gospel, as immigration brings people from gospel-restricted nations into our communities.
To Tell the Truth
Pastor Jeff continues our Groundwork series by examining Paul's call in Ephesians 4 to put off falsehood and speak truthfully. We discover that lying destroys community while honesty builds the deeper connections we were designed for. We learn that our security in Christ's love frees us from hiding and pretending, enabling us to develop new habits of truthfulness that reflect our gospel identity. We are challenged to identify where we struggle with honesty and take practical steps toward speaking truth in love within the body of Christ.
Sermon Series

Blind Spots
In this standalone sermon, pastor Brad Holmes explores Jesus's encounter with a man born blind in John 9. We discover that suffering isn't always the result of sin but can be an opportunity for God to display his power and mercy. We learn that Jesus heals both physical and spiritual blindness, but some choose to remain willfully blind despite overwhelming evidence. We are challenged to trust Jesus in our dark places and allow him to reveal our blind spots, especially where pride or comfort keeps us from fully surrendering.

Christmas 2025
Pastor Aaron Buer teaches on persevering through life's challenges by keeping our focus on Jesus. We learn how Christ equips us to endure suffering and overcome the obstacles that hinder our faith journey. This series reminds us that God reveals himself in surprising ways and invites everyone into his family through the new life Jesus offers. We discover that faith isn't meant to be lived alone but as a community running together toward Christ.

Politics and Unity
It's election season. As Jesus followers, we are called to engage politics through the lens of our faith and to pursue unity with each other. What does unity look like when convictions clash? Join us as Pastor Aaron and author and speaker John Dickson explore biblical unity and our calling to engage in this cultural moment.

Beyond the Weekend Devotionals

50 Days of Prayer | Prayer Day 49
PRAYER DAY #49 : Throughout these 50 Days of Prayer, we’ve grown together in prayer. We've used Hannah’s example to bring our sorrow and deep emotions to God in lament, asking him to move and trusting his character ( 1 Samuel 1:1-18 ). We’ve prayed Jehoshaphat’s prayer for when we feel overwhelmed: "We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you" ( 2 Chronicles 20:12 ). We looked at Solomon’s prayer of dedication and prayed with adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication ( 1 Kings 8:22-51 ). We followed Paul’s prayer for overflowing, insightful, and reflective love ( Philippians 1:9-11 ). We learned from Daniel’s model of reading and responding to Scripture in prayer ( Daniel 9:1-19 ). And we prayed Paul's prayer for a worthy life ( Colossians 1:9-14 ). Pick one of these prayers to return to today, and pray it for our church. Pray we would continue to grow in prayer, impacting our families, friends, and community for the gospel.

50 Days of Prayer | Prayer Day 42
PRAYER DAY #42 : Return to the Lord’s Prayer ( Matthew 6:9-13 ). As you pray, ask God that our church would be marked by the fruit of Jesus’s death and resurrection. Ask that we would be a community that confesses our wrongdoings and forgives one another.

50 Days of Prayer | Prayer Day 35
PRAYER DAY #35 : Pray through the Lord’s Prayer again in Matthew 6:9–13 . Today, focus on the phrase, “forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Pray that our Ada Bible church community would be one of overflowing love for each other, forgiving one another as Christ has forgiven us.
